Who we are

The directors of Geneva Push share the network's goals and why you should consider supporting its plans to plant hundreds of new churches across Australia.

Geneva Push is an Australian church planting network. We aim to raise up a new generation of church planters dedicated to evangelising churches into existence across this great nation. This is an urgent need in a nation where an increasing number of Australians say they have never met a Christian or heard the Gospel.

Geneva Push is named after the city where the reformer John Calvin did most of his ministry. He raised up hundreds of missionaries and church planters to other cities and countries. Our goal is to have a similar impact on the number of churches being planted in Australia by positively encouraging the establishment of churches that are dedicated to planting still more churches.

We will be assisting church planting in four ways:

  1. By recruiting, assessing, training and supporting Australian church planters as they get things started
  2. By working with existing networks, churches and denominations around the country to provide them with the church planters they urgently need to reach Australia with the gospel
  3. By broadcasting a compelling, national vision for church planting, to expand the plans and prayers of local churches and networks
  4. By nurturing a robust and genuine camaraderie amongst church planters and their teams around the country

Geneva Push is not a new denomination. It aims to be a servant for existing networks - a network for networks, if you like. We'll offer support for existing structures and denominations, and Geneva Push planters will be free to work within whichever network they choose.
