A great metaphor for ministry:
A shepherd is one who “velcroes” people together, as it were, so that they can pastor one another. The role of the pastor is to connect undisciplined people with disciplined ones so that they learn how to discipline themselves. It is to connect those who are hurting with those who can help them gain healing. It is to hep the directionless gain guidance through wise friends
