The attached report offers an snap-shot of church planting in Australia today. Its results are drawn from a 2015 survey that asked 728 leaders of new church works (including church plants, revitalizations, mergers and new sites) to share their experience in a 30 minute online survey across many different denominations and church planting networks. The results focuses on the 110 new church works (mostly church plants, but also new sites and plant restarts) started in 2000 or later that are still operating today. In doing so, it presents an essential insight into what ‘works’ and what ‘truggles’ in the Australian context.
This report is a gift to churches in Australia from Geneva Push, with the goal of advancing its goal of seeing hundreds of new churches evangelised into existence across this great country, in the name and power of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
