We want you to start something new...

Start Something New is a new initiative from Geneva Push designed to support, coach and encourage MTS apprentices or high level volunteers as they start new, or expand existing, evangelistic ministries in their local church.

We want to see you start an evangelistic ministry at your church, or take your current evangelistic ministries to the next level.
First step is to apply, and then join us for Pitch Day to share your proposal...

Application

The process starts by completing the online survey. You will then be sent a ‘Preliminary Strategic Document’ to complete if you move through to the second round.

Pitch Day

You will share your proposal with an experienced panel and receive on the spot feedback. To be successful, a panel member will decide to mentor you, once a month for the year 2021. We will also have a short talk, eat together over a meal and spend time praying together for these new ministries.

If you're successful, here's what's in store over the year:

Events

Each of the participants (trainees) in the Start Something New program will receive free access to our annual conference, Multiply and the Reach Australia conference in May 2021.

Cohorts

Every month we meet together as a cohort. The first two of every three months, are spent with someone experienced in ministry, delving into a topic such as leadership or pathways. The third month is always spent as a cohort, going through the goals you’ve set and next steps for your ministry.

Online Training

This is where a lot of your time will be spent working ‘on’ the ministry instead of ‘in’ the ministry. You and your trainer will receive a monthly email of resources for you to work through. As you work through them, we ask that you set aside two, 2hr blocks with your trainer each month to discuss the material. You will speak outside of this time about the ministry, however this is allocated specifically to talking through the material.

Celebration

Towards the end of the year (2021), it is important that we spend time celebrating the work God has done through you and your ministry.
