I’ve just tidied up our databases. Removed over 100 dead names. Slashed from a database of 200+ names to 90 names.
Now some of these are hangovers from before I took over the ministry. That’s fine. But I suspected many were from our O Week contacts.
So I went back through all our contacts from O Week to see how many became involved in the ministry.
2 contacts became ongoing contacts. One of those was from a small faculty who would’ve been contacted anyway. The other has been a lukewarm member of our group all year.
For the mass of time and energy that is poured into making and folowing up first year cold contacts, it is a colossal waste of time.
Never again.
