Eleven years ago, a mentor rebuked me for over-zealous young Christian
theological pedantry:
“If a lady in the church says ‘I felt led by the Spirit to bake you a
cake,’ don’t pounce on her for an incorrect view of guidance. Say
‘Thank you,’ instead.”
