When Christine and I moved to Hurstville 10 years ago, our hope was to live and work in this area for a long time. Our heart’s desire is help those new to Sydney to find a spiritual home where you truly belong. I was born in Shanghai, and became a Christian in Albuquerque, New Mexico, while studying IT Management in Omaha Nebraska. After I moved to Sydney, I spent another 5 years studying at Bible College (Sydney Missionary Bible College and the Presbyterian Theological Centre). Having lived in several countries over the past 20 years, I personally understand the joy, longings and struggles of being an immigrant. I look forward to meeting you at 4pm where I’ll be the pastor. The Lord has ble…

We are a mix of local people who get together to learn from the Bible about God's way and about Jesus. Some of us are followers of Jesus (Christians) but other people come along because they're looking for a new start, or some come to have a yarn and to see what Jesus is on about. Others come along to be around people who want the best for them. At Living Water, we are all broken and imperfect people. None of us live perfect lives. We believe what the Bible says... That despite our failings and the way that we've messed things up, God still loves us. And that by putting our trust in Jesus, we are able to be saved from God's wrath and have eternal life with Him. This is all given to us as a…

Snug Christian Church is not a building. It’s a group of people. Ordinary people from all walks of life who have come to know that Jesus is the saviour of the world. What does he save us from? He saves us from God’s judgment – eternal separation from God, which is coming on every single person for rejecting and rebelling against him, doing things their own way instead of God’s way. Jesus saves us by taking God’s judgment on himself; removing our guilt if we accept his sacrifice in our place and follow him as rightful king over us. For those who accept Jesus, God promises eternal life with him in a new world, where everything is good and right, where there is joy and peace – to an extent that…
